![]() ![]() We will get a bug submitted to the Steam Input group and go from there. If you unplug it and replug after starting the game, this seems to remove the virtual gamepad for that session and lets it connect directly without input lag. The virtual gamepad is adding extra rountrip logic which is causing the input delay, or in some cases double inputs because they forgot to blacklist the native device in favor of their virtual one.Īs DarkLordSen noted, if you start the game with the DS4 it is detected as "Controller with Camera Controls" which is a virtual gamepad. The downside is that this is apparently wreaking some havoc in cases like this where Windows has direct xinput capability. In a more recent update, they've started using a "virtual gamepad" to help with cross platform compatibility. ![]() From what I've learned, Steam originally just modified game controller mappings so that everything was standardized. According to them they mostly just dislike the fact that it exists.ĭarkLordSen appears to be onto something here! I am still working with the FNA devs on this and trying to figure it out. So that doesn't seem to be the source, at least for Steam Controller users.Īlso, according to the Steam Controller discussion page mods the FNA devs seem to really hate the Steam Controller, and never really give any useful information for finding bugs to fix. I say this because I was able to play fine before that change was made.Īll of the compatibility boxes have been unchecked on my end, and it does nothing. I think whatever change you made when you added native PS5 controller support made other types of controllers register double inputs as well as add input delays. In the meantime, I will continue to look into this and let you know of any updates. The compatibility layer seems to be the most likely culprit, so please try unchecking your controller brand and see if it helps at all. If you have the issue, please try going into Steam Big picture mode, then go to Settings and see which boxes are checked for controller compatibility. ![]() As far as I know, nothing has changed on our side that's caused this (in fact someone with the issue verified their controller worked fine with the GOG version). Switching input devices is an easy way to check if this is the cause. Bit Kid a écrit :We've now had multiple confirmed reports of input lag with different brands of controllers. Controllers and keyboards can produce lag due to hardware errors, but its not common. ![]()
